x. tuesday night Brats w. DJ 2PercentMulq, good times
We all know the turban as religious headwear, but have you ever thought about it being a fashion statement? Prada designer Miuccia Prada did, and showcased this $400 headpiece in a show in 2006. This year she once again presented the turban and boy did it stick. All over the industry we see designers from Jason Wu to Giorgio Armani parading this trend in their collections. Celebrities like Ashley Olson and Kate Moss, along with all you street-walkers have also sported this trend in different variations. I’m not particularly a fan of this trend when the entire head is covered, but like Ashley Olson above, turban-inspired headbands can be the perfect accessory to any outfit.
Here’s some turbans trends you can try out for less. Thnx CG
While my friends were eating Coco Puffs, I was consumed with the vision of Coco Chanel.
Highly desirable and couture, genuine vintage Chanel handbags and jewelry are a rare specimen. Recently my friend Chelsea acquired a pair of amazing vintage Chanel earrings, much like pendant above. Lucky her. The quilted shoulder bag at the top is definitely my next big purchase.
“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”- Coco Chanel
